When production deadlines are tight, and budgets tighter still, CatDV is the cost-effective, flexible solution to the challenges of managing a large number of media assets.

Cross-platform and highly scalable, and now with enhanced automation capabilities to simplify the most complex workflows, CatDV meets the needs of everyone from individuals to studios and large production houses.

CatDV is a scalable, cross-platform, media asset database that can handle a very wide range of file types.

It will catalog all kinds of media assets, not just video (although, enhanced support for video content is included) but also still images, audio files, PDFs, etc. It alsoprovides analysis and transcoding of media files with advanced logging tools, sequence editing and integration with non-linear editing applications. Standalone or Network - CatDV can be used as a standalone regular desktop application or, for networked operation via the optional CatDV Server. There is also an automation engine, the scriptable CatDV Worker Node, that can be used to automate complex production workflows by processing files in the background.
